Ghost Hunting

Update: 10/25/2012

We have been quite busy on the paranormal investigation front this year.  Gomez asked me how many investigations we have been on since we started with the group and January, and after counting on our fingers and toes we figure the number to be 15.  We have captured more EVP's than photos and since I don't think I can post those on the blog (if anyone knows how I might be able to do that, let me know, please) I have not been able to share much.  As soon as I download the photos our group has captured, I will post them.
The most recent investigation was at a pawn shop in our town and it proved to have a lot of activity, again, mostly EVP's.

Now that 2012 is here it seems that all of a sudden we have been thrust into all things paranormal.  We recently had the honor of joining a local paranormal investigating group that are above board and really great to work with.  There have been two investigations with them so far and the first one, at a well-known building in our little city proved to be quite a bit more active than we thought it would be.  Several EVP's were captured and quite frankly, I was stunned that two of them happened while I was sitting in a dark room with another female member of the group.  A little creepy, a lot exciting!
If I can figure out how to put them up I will!
OK Corral, Original Site, Tombstone, Arizona, May, 2010
The picture above was taken after a ghost tour we took walking around Tombstone and another in the Birdcage Theatre.  Gomez and I decided to retrace our steps from the walking tour, snapping photos as we went.  Right after I took this pic I noticed the orb in the viewscreen, then took a closer look and noticed the lighter one to the left.  I told Gomez and we immediately tried to debunk it by taking another photo, as we both thought the reflective paint from the parking lines may have gotten on a pebble and reflected back.  Our conclusion was that we had caught something/someone in orb form.  Subsequent photos revealed even more.  Could it be Billy Clanton or one of the McClaurys?  You be the judge...
Where the victims of the OK Corral gunfight rest on Boothill in Tombstone, Arizona

Boothill Cemetery is one of the most beautiful desert cemeteries we have ever seen.  Unfortunately, it is closed at night, so we were not able to investigate it.

                                                                   The Birdcage Theatre
Supposedly a face is often seen peering out of the upper left window.  We did not catch it, though.  If you have never been here, you must go.  Everything inside is as it was in Tombstone's glory days.  Truly remarkable and interesting to any history buff!

Interior of the Birdcage Theatre

If you look closely at the mid-left of the picture you will see three orbs.  Right before I took this shot I was looking at an artifact and was suddenly overcome with sadness and wanted to cry.  When I turned and took this photo this is what I got.  To the skeptics out there, this was the first time I had ever seen anything like this on this digital camera and I have taken thousands of photos with it since purchasing it in 2004.  Could these orbs be some of the "Soiled Doves" who worked the cribs of the Birdcage?  I should also mention this was taken during the daytime around 11 am and the atmosphere/feeling in the building was completely different at night.  On our "ghost tour" that night we heard a pebble or coin being thrown down the basement stairs and when investigated, there was nothing to be found.  My personal experiences included a cold draft around my ankles (the a/c was off) and someone/thing breathed in my left air.  Goose pimply good!  I cannot wait to go back!

Now for some de-bunking...

Everyone who took pictures of this mirror got the same image in it we did.  Upon further scrutiny we have determined that someone has traced the face in dust on the mirror with their finger.  Not nice or cool!
